Dan Welden - InPrint Resident 2024

During February Caselberg Trust will host Dan Welden, renowned Master Printmaker, Painter, Teacher, and Author from New York, as the InPrint resident.

Join us for a one day printmaking workshop on 10 February at Dunedin School of Art.

Biography

As the original pioneer of alternative printmaking since 1970 and as co-author of Printmaking in the Sun, Dan Welden has been at the forefront of safe printmaking practice in the Arts. He has received international recognition through his art and through residencies, workshops, lectures and exhibitions in 54 countries on all 7 continents. He has collaborated with artists including Willem de Kooning, Eric Fischl, Kiki Smith, and Dan Flavin and with 102 solo exhibitions to date, including the Paramount Exhibiton at the Cape Cod Museum of Art, he was awarded a ‘lifetime achievement award’ from A/E Foundation in New York. Dan Welden is Professor Emeritus at Escuela de Beas Artes in Cusco, Peru and was most recently was awarded a Pollock/Krasner Foundation Grant.
