Our Trust’s success lies in ongoing fundraising to pay the costs associated with our purchasing and managing the house, as well as hosting artists and writers.
Our membership is free, just sign up to our newsletter below. You can support the Trust's range of residencies and community events by simply donating any amount to help us with day-to-day and ongoing project costs at the House and Studio. A life time membership option is still available for a one off cost of $500.
How Members Will Benefit From Our Trust
As well as creating their own art, during their time at the house, artists and writers in residence make themselves available to members of the Trust and the community at illustrated talks, small exhibitions and work in schools.
The house containing a library and works of art is open to the public from time to time and to members for events
Members receive invitations to attend gala occasions, functions and fund raising events
Members are given the opportunity to purchase original works of art by Residents and other New Zealand Artists

In the last year the trust spent $38k on its residency programme and maintaining the Caselberg House - that’s $13k more than we managed to raise in revenue! We know that times are hard right now financially for many people, but we do need donations from our supporters to help towards our costs and to maintain our creative residencies into the future. Donations (big or small) make a BIG difference to us and we are always grateful to receive them.
$50 donation could pay for the house internet each month
$150 donation could pay our power bill power for a month
$150 donation could pay for a square metre of wood for the log burner

Obtaining funding and grants for our residencies is getting harder all the time. We are always pleased to talk to individuals, organisations or businesses about opportunities to fund or partially fund our creative residencies. Please do get in touch with us at info@caselbergtrust.org if you want to consider funding one of our residencies on a one-off or ongoing basis.
