1st Cornerstone Sponsor announced

We have had some wonderful news during the Summer period, and head into 2007 able to announce that we have our first Cornerstone Sponsor - The University of Otago, which has donated $50,000 to the Trust with the aim jointly promoting the arts in Dunedin. We have signed a

Memorandum of Understanding with the University, that will allow both parties to achieve this aim, and which will see the Caselberg House available for use by future Robert Burns, Frances Hodgkins, Mozart, or Caroline Plummer Fellows for parts of each year.

We thank the University for this strong show of support for our Trust, and look forward to developing a long and fruitful relationship.

The Trust is looking to secure three further Cornerstone Sponsors to ensure that the mortgage on the Caselberg House can be paid off as soon as possible. This will then allow us to focus all of our energies on the creative projects we want to achieve for the community. We are also delighted to announce that we received $5,000 from the AAW Jones Charitable Trust in December, and a further $5,000 from the Alexander McMillan Charitable Trust in January. All of these donations will be used to help pay off the mortgage. Thank you to both of these Trusts for your support.
